We read every message.

OurVoice is made by a parent, for parents. If something isn’t working, you have an idea, or you just need a hand getting started, email us and a real person will reply.

Common questions

How do I get into Parent Mode?
Tap the lock icon at the top of the home screen (or press and hold the “OurVoice” title for two seconds). If you’ve set a PIN, you’ll enter it there.

I forgot my Parent PIN.
On the PIN screen, tap “Forgot PIN?”, confirm it’s you with Face ID or your device passcode, and set a new one. Nothing is ever lost.

Will I lose my child’s board if I change devices?
No. In Settings → Data, tap “Back up board” to save everything — photos, recordings, settings — to one file you keep. Restore it on any device, any time. We recommend backing up now and then so the board is always safe.

Is my child’s information private?
Completely. OurVoice has no accounts and no servers. Every photo, recording and word stays on your device and is never sent anywhere. See our Privacy Policy.

Can I record my own voice?
Yes. When you add or edit any button, you can record your voice for it, so your child hears you instead of a robot.

What does it cost?
Everything is free for 14 days. The clock starts the first time you open Parent Mode, not when you install. After that, one purchase ($29.99 in the US) unlocks Parent Mode — adding words, settings, setup — for good. There is no subscription, and the purchase covers every iPhone and iPad on your Apple account, including through Family Sharing.

What happens to my child’s board if I don’t buy?
Nothing. The board, the widget, and every word you added keep speaking forever. Only Parent Mode locks. A child’s voice is not something we would ever switch off.

Does it replace the device our therapist gave us?
No, and it isn’t meant to. Follow your speech-language pathologist’s plan. OurVoice is what many families use at home, in the car, and at Grandma’s — on the phone that is actually in the room — while the evaluation and the school device take their time. If you’d like, export a backup and show it to your therapist.

Does it work on iPad?
Yes, on iPhone and iPad, and one purchase covers both. On iPad it also works in Slide Over, so it can sit beside a video without stopping it.

I’m a therapist or teacher. Can I use it with several children?
Please email us first. We are setting up free copies for speech-language pathologists and a simple way for a clinic or classroom to keep one board per child.
